My Royal Wedding Celebration

I was up early to watch the Royal Wedding. I got up at 3:45 am this morning and you would have thought it was Christmas morning. I've been looking forward to this for weeks! I have always had an interest of England and of the Royal family. My mother was from England, she met my dad who was stationed in England during World War 2. He brought her home to Texas, so she was a war bride. This morning I fixed myself a pot of tea and nibbled on some cookies and enjoyed the wedding and it's celebration. I'll be ready for bed pretty early tonight I'm sure.

Thats being a dedicated Anglophile Donna. Really hope you enjoy all the pageant and ceremony of the day. Royal Weddings are such big occasions here it is very surprising to realise that they were private affairs until the marriage of the Queen's parents! XOXO Zoe

Wasn't it lovely? I didn't plan to watch it but I happened to wake up in time. I had to have a nap after it though...lol!

It really is a very lovely love story. You know me, never enough flowers though. I did nap, but it didn't help much. Early to bed I say!! xxooxx

I thought of you getting up early Donna!!

I loved it all and watched for hours sipping bucks fizz and eating cooissants. Ed went to the supermarket to get our shopping while everything was so quiet.

I loved the understated decorations in the cathedral. The trees were a lovely touch and chosen by Catherine herself.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Donna: Thank you so much for visiting and leaving me such a nice comment. I do care! We creative crafters have to stick together don't we!! I love your cottage and can totally visualize all the fun you have been having. I have made paper and it is quite the mess to be certain but so much fun. What I didn't show was my paper, glitter, glue, messy studio. Hahaha...Happy weekend to you.
